İlhan ÖZGÜL (Ph.D.) is currently an assistant professor of music at Kastamonu University and head of the Department of Fine Arts Education at Kastamonu University. He received his undergraduate degrees from Department of Music Teacher at Marmara University, master’s degrees in music education from Gazi University and his Ph.D. in music education from the Necmettin Erbakan University. He has worked as a music teacher in many institutions connected to the Turkish Ministry of Education, such as in preschools, primary schools and at Anatolian Teacher High School. His researches include music education, music teaching, curriculum development at public school and collegiate levels, choral training, motivation and scale development. He is the author of two books including music education. He also serves on the editorial board of three education journal.
